Washington Township Fire Department

Station 9

Washington Township is located 110 miles southwest of Indianapolis and surrounds the Town Of Washington in southwestern Daviess County. Established in 1974, this all-volunteer departement includes 21 members who responds from two stations. WTFD provides Fire and Rescue protection to approximately 6,000 residents. EMS Service is provided locally by Southwest Ambulance Service.

This apparatus is first-due on fires and accident calls. It includes dump valves that allow it to operate as a tanker as well.

Attack 91 responds to all medical and rescue calls. It carries a set of Amkus extrication tools. This rig previously served Callaway, FL prior to its purchased by Washington Township in 2012.

Still showing it's previous designation as #3, this rig responds first-out on all brush/field fire responses.
