Center Township Emergency Services

Center Township previously protected a 10 square mile fire district in a small donut-shaped band around the City of Muncie in Delaware County. In 2000 the township trustees opted to create it's own fire department instead of continuing its service contract with Munice. CTES was a combination department that responded from two stations and protected 10 on the corners of the City. In 2010, CTES and their protection area was taken over by the Muncie Fire Department.
