Base 140 - Grabill

NEACFE is a community-based, volunteer department that was formed by the merger of Grabill and Cedar Canyons VFD's in 2005. NEACFE provides Fire, Tactical Rescue and EMS response from it's three stations. The department now protects approximately 23,000 residents and 90 square miles in Northeast Allen County.

Base 140 - 13415 State Street - Grabill
Base 140 serves as the central station for NEACFE's area. The department's daytime paid ambulance service responds from this station. The building houses 7 frontline apparatus and includes a meeting room, offices, kitchen and rec area. Base 140 is home to Ladder 147 (Quint), Tanker 144, Rescue 148, Grass Rig 149, Ambulance E-145, Squad 146, Command 141 and Boat 140.

Ladder 147 - 2008 Pierce Velocity 75ft Aerial (#19921) - 1750gpm/500gal
L-147 responds as Quint and is first-due for all structure fires. It was purchased by the department in 2011 after it served as a demo unit. Fort Wayne FD was actually "renting" it as spare aerial when Grabill bought it from Pierce.

Emergency 145 - 2017 Ford F450 4x4/Demers (F17P-605) Ambulance
E-145 responds first due on all vehicle accidents and medical calls. This former demonstration unit was purchased in 2018 and replaced the older Frightliner unit.

Squad 146 - 2006 Ford Expedition
This former Paramedic Chase Vehicle now serve as utility truck.

Rescue 148 - 1999 IHC 4900/2001 Transmed
R-148 is second-due for vehicle accidents. It carries a full set of Hurst extrication tools, a 4-bottle cascade system, an 8kw generator and hazmat gear. Transmed was an Alabama company that only produced a few rescues.
