The Station 6 patch was designed by the B shift and includes representations of the major attractions in their coverage area.  These include the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo, Interstate 69, and the numerous adult entertainment establishments found in Station 6’s coverage area (one of which lights up the bedroom of the fire station at night).  There is also a single-wide trailer pictured, as Station 6 covers almost all of the trailer parks in the city.  The original Station 6 was built at 4th and Wells Streets in 1893, hence the date.  The background behind the 6 is representative of “FDNY Striping”, which the FWFD went to after 9/11 as a tribute to their fallen 343.
