Base 10 - Headquarters

New Haven is located immediately east of Fort Wayne inside of I-469 in central Allen County. This combination department was formed in 1994 with the merger of two departments to create a unified firefighting force for greater efficiency and manpower. NHATFD now provides Fire, Tactical Rescue, Hazmat and ALS protection to 23,000 residents of the Town of New Haven and Adams Township.

Base 10 serves as New Haven-Adams Township Headquarters and is home to Engines 11 & 12, Tanker 14,
Emergency 15, Ladder 17, Squad 18, Med Car 45 and Fire 11.

Engine 11 is first due for all medical calls and accidents. It is usually the first out apparatus with the on-duty crew while
additional volunteer personnel respond with other appropriate vehicles.

Engine 12 is the second-out pumper from Base 10 and also serves as a reserve apparatus.

Due to it's smaller size, Tanker 14 is excellent for making hydrant runs to fill dump tanks at rural fire scenes.

Truck 17 serves as the department's ladder company and is dispatched on all fire runs.

Squad 18 responds as a heavy rescue and support vehicle to all fires, MVA's and larger incidents.

Squad 18's equipment includes a combi-tool, light tower and an on-board cascade system. It carries a wide variety of additional
equipment for rope, water and confined space rescue.

Base 10 is the home to all of New Haven-Adams Township's EMS vehicles. Three ALS Ambulances (45-1, 45-2, 45-3)
respond throughout their area from this central station. These units are supported by Med Car 45 (not yet pictured),
a non-transport ALS chase vehicle
