Base 240 - Springfield Twp./Harlan

NEACFE is a community-based volunteer department that was formed by the merger of Grabill and Cedar Canyons VFD's in 2005. NEACFE provides Fire, Tactical Rescue and EMS response from it's three stations. The department now protects approximately 23,000 residents and 90 square miles in Northeast Allen County.

Base 240

Base 240 - IN SR-37 East - Harlan
Base 240 serves the eastern portion of NEACFE's area.  It is a 6 truck station with meeting room offices, kitchen and rec area.
 Base 240 is home to Engine 241, Tankers 243, 246, Squad 248, Grass Rig 249 and Ambulance E-245. 

Engine 241

Engine 241 - HME 1871/Smeal Pumper
Engine 241 is first due apparatus for all fire, rescue and medical assist incidents from Base 240. It is usually the first-out
apparatus with the on-duty crew while additional volunteer personnel respond with other appropriate vehicles.

Emergency 245

E-245 is the first due for all EMS calls for Base 240
