Fire Department

Washington Township is located along the westside of Fort Wayne in Allen County. First established in 1945 this combination department provides Fire, Tactical Rescue and BLS protection to approximately 10,000 residents of the Township.

Washington Township Fire Station Base 60 - 1834 West Wallen Road at Lima Road

Engine 62 - 1992 Pierce Dash Pumper - 1500gpm/750gal/20gal foam
Engine 62 is first due for all fire scenes and second due for EMS and Rescue calls.

Tanker 63 "Just A Toy" - 1987 Ford L9000/S&S - 1500gpm Darley Pump/3500gal
With it's available hand lines, Tanket 63 is the first due tanker for fire calls.

Emergency 65 - 2005 Ford E-450/Braun/Lifestar type III - BLS Ambulance
All ambulances dispatched in Allen County are referred to as "Emergency...".

Squad 66 -1998 Ford Expedition
Squad 66 serves at both an EMS chase vehicle and for responding additional manpower to incident scenes.

Truck 67 - 1991 Pierce Arrow 75' rear-mount ladder - 1500gpm/500gal

Rescue 68 - "The Toolbox" - 1995 Freightliner FL70/American Fire Rescue walk-in Heavy Rescue
Rescue 68 responds to all vehicle accidents and extrications. This large truck includes seating for 5 in front and 4 in back and
an integrated cascade system. It also carries a 3000 watt command light tower and equipment for water, ice and trench rescue.

Cart 60 - Club Car
Like may departments in Indiana, WTFD realized the convenience and efficiency of having a small cart available
for rapid EMS reponse at large public events, festivals and parades.
