Harrison Township
Volunteer Fire Company


Harrison Township is located just west of Columbus along IN-46 in western Bartholomew County. Established around 1980, this all-volunteer department includes 20 members with a 3-man paid crew from 7am-5pm each weekday. HTVFC provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Reponder protection to between the Columbus City limits and the Brown County line.

This huge rig is second-due for structure and field fires. It also serves as the primary mutual-aid truck to nearby departments

BR-253 is first due for all field and brush fires. It was replaced in November 2008 with a new Ford F-350 brush unit.
