to its mostly rural reponse area. ALS transport service is provided throughout much of the county by Boone County EMS. |

Rescue 21 - 2005 Spartan/2006 Central States (Rosenbauer) walk-around Heavy Rescue
This sharp truck entered service with the department in fall of 2008. It runs on all extrication and fire calls within the township and

Rescue 21 - 2005 Spartan/2006 Central States (Rosenbauer) walk-around Heavy Rescue
While is started as a demo, several custom features were added by the department prior to it's arrival. R-21 is equipped with
a telescoping light tower, command cab, on-board cascade system and a wide variety of extrication and rescue tools. One unique feature of this Rosenbauer rescue body is the stairway that extends out from behind the cab (only partially seen in this view). This
allows safe and easy access to the coffin compartments on top of the truck. |

|
Rescue 21 offers the ultimate in safety for their crew. In addition to vibrant chevrons on the rear of the truck, the top of the back compartment on Rescue 21's roof can be extended straight up. Controls on the back of the truck extend this arrow stick another 4 feet above the roof to create an extra-tall and bright safety feature. This is highly useful for Rescue 21 as they frequently respond to one of the busiest sections of Interstate 65. |
