Jamestown
Volunteer Fire Department
Jamestown is located 40 west of
Indianapolis along I-74 in southwestern Boone County. Organized in 1856, this all-volunteer department includes 30 members who respond to 250 runs each year. JVFD provides Fire, Rescue and BLS protection to 30
square miles including Jamestown. |

Jamestown Fire Station - IN-234 - Downtown
JVFD will begin construction on a new, larger firehouse this summer. It will be located just west of town on IN-234. |

This apparatus was largely rebuilt with a larger tank by RPI in 1997 after a rollover accident by IFD. This rig previously served the nearby Indianapolis Fire Department. |

This rig is run by JVFD members for BLS transport. When ALS calls come in, Squad 41 (a Paramedic Chase Vehicle) also responds from a clinic inbetween Jamestown and Advance. |
