Jamestown
Volunteer Fire Department

Jamestown is located 40 west of Indianapolis along I-74 in southwestern Boone County. Organized in 1856, this all-volunteer department includes 30 members who respond to 250 runs each year. JVFD provides Fire, Rescue and BLS protection to 30 square miles including Jamestown.

Jamestown Fire Station - IN-234 - Downtown
JVFD will begin construction on a new, larger firehouse this summer. It will be located just west of town on IN-234.

This apparatus was largely rebuilt with a larger tank by RPI in 1997 after a rollover accident by IFD. This rig previously served
the nearby Indianapolis Fire Department.

This rig is run by JVFD members for BLS transport. When ALS calls come in, Squad 41 (a Paramedic Chase Vehicle) also
responds from a clinic inbetween Jamestown and Advance.
