Zionsville Fire Department
Station 92

The Village of Zionsville is located 15 miles northwest of Indianapolis between US-421 and I-65 in southeastern Boone County. Established in 1930, Zionsville is a combination department that includes 10-12 career firefighters manning two stations each shift. ZFD provides Fire, Rescue and ALS protection to 52 square miles and 25,000 residents including the Village of Zionsville, Eagle and Union Townships.

Located in the quickly growing northeast side of Zionsville and Union Township, this firehouse opened it's doors in April 2009.
The 2's is home to Engine 92, Tanker 92, Ambulance 92 and Crash 92.

Engine 92 - 1996 E-One Cyclone II Attack Pumper (#16144) - 1500gpm/1000gal
Engine 92 now serves as the first-due Engine Company for fire and rescue calls from ZFD Station 92. This rig previously
served as the primary structure fire pumper from Station 91 and was not as heavily used as the other pumper at the station.
Due to it's larger volume of water it was reassigned as Engine 92 in April 2009.

This apparatus was on loan to the former Boone County Fire Department by the Zionsville FD where is briefly protected
Union Township from what is now the Whitestown Fire Station in Worth Township. It was returned to ZFD in late 2008.

Medic 92 - 2007 Ford E-450/Braun ALS Ambulance
With the addition of ALS service, ZFD's EMS program is under the medical direction of nearby St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Crash 92 - 1992 Oshkosh T-3000 ARFF Crash Truck - 3000gal water/475gal foam
This apparatus previously served the U.S. Naval Base at Rota, Spain as Crash 71-02933. It was purchased by ZFD in 2009
through the Federal Supply Property program and shipped overseas and overland to Indiana. This rig will be lightly
refurbished and repainted in Zionsville's red and white paint scheme later in 2009.

While currently located at Station 92, this large rig is likely be relocated to the Executive Airport along IN-32 just east of Zionsville.
