The Town of Galveston is located 60 miles north of Indianapolis at the crossroads of US-35 and IN-18 in southeast Cass County. This all- volunteer department provides, Fire, Rescue and BLS transport to 110 square miles in the corner of 3 counties:
Cass, Miami and Howard. |

The front end of this rig came off a 1967 IHC/Howe. This 1976 Chevy pick-up was bought new, and a Warner rescue body
was mounted by department members.1 member actually saved the original pick up bed in his shop. When the new Rescue 1 chassis arrived,they put the 1976 Warner body on the
1997 chassis and then put the ORIGINAL, 1976 bed back on the brush! |
