Volunteer Fire Department

The Town of Lucerne is located 10 miles north of Logansport near the crossroads of IN-16 and IN-17 in northern Cass County. Established in 1954, the 12 members of this all-volunteer department respond to approximately 40 runs each year. LVFD provides Fire and Medical First-Responder protection to the residents of Lucerne and Harrison Township. They also have dual-response to Noble and Bethlehem Townships resulting in 120 square miles of protection area.

This new firehouse was dedicated on April 23, 2005 and is home to all five LVFD apparatus.
