Walton
Volunteer Fire Department

The Town of Walton is located 66 miles north of Indianapolis at the crossroads of US-35 and IN-218 in southeast Cass County. This all- volunteer department was organized in 1930. WVFD provides, Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to the Town of Walton.

This apparatus is first-due for all vehicle accidents at Walton. It carries a Hurst tool as a backup to Rescue 5. This apparatus
previously served Westfield, Indiana as Engine 82 prior to its purchase in 2005.

Antique - 1926 Ford Model A
This apparatus originally entered service in Walton in 1933. It was a custom-built Howe fire truck which was later given to the Town's department of public works. The DPW removed the chemical tanks and hose bed. All that remains of this classic truck is shown in this photo from 2009.
