Clay City
Volunteer Fire Department


The small town of Clay City is located 70 miles west of Indianapolis at the crossroads of IN-59 and IN-246 in southeastern Clay County. Organized in the 1950's, this all-volunteer department includes 17 members that respond to approximately 125 runs each year. CCVFD provides Fire, and Medical First-Responder protection to 35 square miles including the Town of Clay City and all of Harrison Township.

Clay City Fire Station - West 7th & Forrest Streets
This firehouse was built in 1993 and is home to all five of Clay City's frontline apparatus.
