Harrison Township
Volunteer Fire Department

Harrison Township is located 115 miles southwest of Indianapolis in southern Daviess County. Established in 1980, this all-volunteer department provides Fire and First-Responder medical protection to the Town of Glendale, Dogwood Lake and the 9400 acres of Glendale Fish & Wildlife Area. Their district is almost entirely rural areas and forest.

E-2 is first-out on fire calls due to it's small size, handling, and speed. It handles the rural roads and tight farm drives better than
E-12 above. If the fire is near the road, then Engine 12 becomes the primary engine upon arrival.

This apparatus was purchased from Wadesville, IN in 2001. The body was orginally mounted on a 1972 International Loadstar
chassis and was rechassised in 2002.
