Southeast Daviess
Fire District

The Town of Alfordsville is located 110 miles southwest of Indianapolis just west of US-231 in southeast Daviess County. This fire district was established in 1991 and incorporated the previous Alfordsville Fire Department which was organized in 1966. The 14 current members of this all-volunteer department respond to approximately 40 runs each year. SDFD provides Fire and First-Responder medical protection to 10 square miles including Alfordsville.
