The City of Washington
is located 110 miles soutwest of Indianapolis at the crossroads of IN-57
and US-50 in southwestern Daviess County. Established in 1984, SWM includes 30 paramedics (15 full-time and 15 part-time). This private company contracts with the county to provide Emergency and transport EMS services.
SW1 - 2005 Ford E-450/2006 Demers ALS Ambulance
For Emergency responses, SW typically has 2-3 crews on duty in downtown Washington plus 1 on full standby. Another
full-time crew responds from a base in Odon. While required to provide up to Intermediate Level care for emergencies, they typically will respond with ALS units for all Emergency Runs. BLS units with EMTs are used for hospital and nursing home transports.

Twin units 9 & 10 were purchase from Presbyterian Hospital of New York City in 2007.
