1878 Ahrens Mfg. Co./A.B. Latta 500gpm Steamer - Serial #202
This steamer actually served in Washington, Indiana and is believed to be the fourth made in the US of this size. For many years
it was kept in a local museum and was recently moved to the fire museum at station 2. It is in need of further restoration, but
has been kept in fairly good shape considering it's advanced age.

Former WFD Station

This building was compelted in 1907 and served as WFD Station 2 at 1000 West Walnut Street until 1999. After the new
station was built right next door, the second story was removed and it was fitted with new trusses and an aluminum exterior.
It now serves as a city storage facility.

Special thanks to Frank Wegloski for these pictures and to Lt. Barry Andis for providing Washingotn history and background about these unique trucks.
