Greensburg/Washington Township Fire Department Greensburg
is located 55 miles Southeast of Indianapolis along Greensburg
is the only firehouse in Dearborn Co. that has a paid firefighter on
duty 24 hours a day. |

Greensburg Station 1 houses 7 apparatus. Each apparatus
has the markings of either Greensburg
or
Washington Township depending on which government purchased the equipment. Greensburg
hopes to build a
second station in the near future.

Engine 4 - 1998 KME Excel Custom Pumper 1250gpm/1000gal
Engine 4 serves as the primary reponse engine for all EMS calls and working
fires in Washington Township.

Ladder 6 - 1992 Grumman Aerialcat 102' Rear-mount platform -1500gpm/250gal

Rescue Truck 11 - 1997 E-One/Freightliner FL-80
Rescue Truck 11 serves as the department's rescue unit. It also runs with volunteer
departments county-wide
for auto extrications and specialty rescues.

Engine 8 - 1988 KME Renegade Pumper
Engine 8 is the first due city pumper and backup rescue.

Engine 2 - 1979/1997 (refurbished) American LaFrance Century
50' Telesquirt
This truck serves as the second due City Engine behind Engine 8. Mercifully,
it was repainted from it's original lime green color!

Tanker 14 - 1986 S&S/Darley pumps 3000gallons
Due to the large farm and rural areas surrounding Greensburg, Tanker 14 gets
a fair amount of use.
