Salem Township-Daleville
Volunteer Fire Department

Daleville is located 48 miles northeast of Indianapolis along IN-32 and I-69 in southwest Delaware County. There are currently 23 active firefighters with another 30+ volunteer members that makeup this close-knit community department. DSTFD provides Fire, Rescue, and BLS response to approximately 5,750 residents and 35 square miles including 10 miles of I-69 north of exit 31.

Rescue Engine 68 - 2000 KME Excel - 1500gpm/500gal
Daleville/Salem Township Fire Station - Daleville, IN
This station is located in a residential area just south of IN-32. It is home to 9 apparatus that serve the department.
 
Tactical 69 - 2004 Ford/Stahl - 200/225gal/25 Class A Foam

Engine 82 - 1996 FL80/KME - 1250gpm Hale Pump/1000gal
Engines 82 and 83 alternate each month as to which engine is first out for fires. Generally each engine runs with a
minimum 3-4 firefighter crew. Volunteers and on-call crew will respond to the station for additional apparatus as needed.

Engine 83 - 2000 Freightliner FL80/American LaFrance - 1250gpm/1000gal
Engine 82 or 83 is first due for structure fires and second out for rescues and medical assists.
 
Engine 61 - 1986 Ford/FMC - 1000gpm/1000gal
Tanker 85 - 2000 Freightliner FL80/S&S - 3000gallon tank
Tanker 85 is the first out of the department's two tankers.
 
Engine 62 - 1979 GMC/Howe 1000gpm/750gal tank
Rescue 86 - 1993 GMC Top-Kick Heavy Rescue/Extrication Unit
Rescue 86 is the first due apparatus for all accidents and rescue calls. It includes various equipment for vehicle extrications
and tactical rescues. This rig formerly served nearby Anderson as Rescue 2 before it was disbanded.

Medic 81 - 1995 Ford E-350/Mobile Medical BLS Ambulance
DSTFD provides BLS Ambulance Service 24/7 from their station.

Medic 82 - 1996 Ford Super-Duty/Marque BLS Ambulance
The vast majority of the department are FF/EMT's who can provide stabilization of even the most critical patients until
Delaware County EMS or a Rural Metro Paramedic arrive on scene.
