Viper patch Delaware County EMS

DCEMS provides ALS transport service throughout Delaware County. They currently respond from three stations with a fourth rig located at Muncie Fire Station 7. DCEMS is comprised of Paramedics and Advanced EMT's that respond on a wide variety of medical calls, often in conjunction with local fire departments. They also respond to Hazardous Materials Incidents with their own Decontamination Team to decon patients prior to transport.
DCEMS Station 1
Station 1 - Downtown Muncie
Station 1 is located in along Jackson Street in downtown Muncie and serves as department Headquarters. It is also home to
Medics 12, 13 & 14 and the Paramedic Supervisor vehicles: Squads 11 and 51.

Medic 12

Medic 12 is the newest rig with the department and is typical of the 8 transport ambulances at DCEMS.
 
DCEMS Squad 51
Squad 51 - 2005 Ford F-150 4x4 Quick-Response Vehicle
Squad 51 serves as the Paramedic Supervisor's vehicle. This truck runs on larger incidents and as a Paramedic supplement
for townships with BLS ambulances. Inside, this truck has custom compartments that carry a full complement of ALS
equipment and medications.

Squad 11 now serves as the second-due Supervisor vehicle for rapid Paramedic Response.
 
Station 2
DCEMS Station 2 - Southwest
Station 2 is located along IN-32 in Yorktown, just in front of the Yorktown/Mount Pleasant Township Fire Station.
This single-unit station is home to Medic 61 and it's several of it's personnel also serve on the Fire Department.

Medic 61 - 1999 Ford E-450/Mobile Medical
Medic 61 responds from it's station in Yorktown. It is numbered to correspond with the numbering system of the
Yorktown/Mt. Pleasant Township Fire Department.
 
DCEMS Station 3
Station 3 - East Memorial Road at the US-35 bypass - Eastside
Station 3 is located on Muncie's far eastside. It is home to Medic 55, the VIPER Decon Trailer, the DCEMS Incident
Command Trailer and the deparment's Special Response Unit off-road vehicle. This station also has a large conference area
and frequently serves as a training center for DCEMS and other Delaware County departments.
 
DCEMS Mule

This rig provides fast EMS response at public events. It can also respond off-road into the various farm fields that dot
much of the county. Hidden from view behind the equipment locker is a Stokes Basket that allows for patient transport.

air-conditioned office.
