Chief 1 - 2007 Chevy K2500 4x4 pickup
The department chief is the only full-time member. The rest of the department consists of volunteers. With nearly every member
living and working within the City, there is an unwritten agreement that firefighters may leave work when needed. On weekends
there is typically a 4 or 5 man duty crew at Headquarters. Station 1 apparatus roll on all calls with outlying stations and their
apparatus responding only for calls within their areas.

Special thanks to Chief Kenny Hochgesang for providing department background and history. Thanks also to FF's
Mike Steurer, Tim Berger, & Maurice Merkel for rigs for their assistance in arranging the apparatus for these pictures.
