The Town of Middlebury is located along IN-13 and US-20 in northeastern Elkhart County. Former in 1907, this combination department operates 7 apparatus. The department is staffed with three paid daytime personnel for fire and EMS response during daytime hours with volunteer response.

Middlebury EMS
Middlebury EMS is a Basic Life Support ambulance and Heavy Rescue provider. MEMS operates with 3 Navistar medium duty Medtec ambulances, an American Fire & Rescue heavy rescue truck, and suburban 4 X 4 BLS Non-transport support vehicle. Staffing is done with paid daytime personnel and Volunteers covering weekends and night calls. The department currently is working toward becoming a paramedic provider in the very near future.
