Station 2

The Town of Greenville is located 15 miles northwest of Louisville, Kentucky along US-150 in northwest Floyd County. Established in 1945, this all-volunteer department includes 25 members that respond from two stations. GTVFD provides Fire, Rescue and BLS protection to 40 square miles including the Town of Greenville and Greenville Township.

Station 2 - 7020 US-150 - Eastside
Completed in 2003, this firehouse serves as GTVFD Headquarters and is home to Engine 31, Brush 32, Squad 33
and Rescue 31. A new Rescue is scheduled for delivery later in 2009.

E-31 is first-due for all fires and vehicle accidents. It carries extrication equipment including spreaders, cutters, air bags,
and cribbing. E-31 also carries a thermal imaging camera, various medical supplies and an AED.

Squad 33 - 1997 GMC Suburban - Medical Quick Response
This apparatus serves as a first responder unit and is equipped with an AED and various medical equipment. Squad 33
responds first-out on medical runs and second out on vehicle accidents.

Brush 32 carries wildland firefighting equipment and handles all Brush/Grass fire calls.
