Lafayette Township The Town of Floyds Knob is located 10 miles northwest of Louisville, Kentucky along US-150 in central Floyd County. Established in 1958, this combination department includes 11 career and 30 volunteer members who respond from two stations. LTFD provides Fire, Rescue, ALS and Swift Water Rescue protection to 40 square miles including the Town of Floyds Knob and Lafayette Township. |

| Station 1 - 4002 Scottsville Road - Floyds Knob Station 1 serves as department headquarters. It is home to Engine 11, Rescue 1, Squad 1, Tanker 12, the Swift Water Rescue Trailer, the EMA's Rhino 4x4 and the LTFD's Command Vehicles. |

| Rescue 1 - 1998 International 4900/ Hackney Heavy Rescue R-1 responds to all auto accidents and rescue calls. It is equipped with a light tower, on-board cascade system and Genesis extrication tools. 13 members of LTFD are also trained as a swift water Rescue Team which responds with a separate equipment trailer and boat located at Station 1. |

| Squad 1 - 2003 Ford Super-Duty/MedTec 4x4 ALS Ambulance While Yellow Ambulance provides BLS transport throughout much of the county, this unit is certified for transport as well. Squad 1 is one of the only (if not the only) ambulances in the state that is four-wheel drive. |

| Yellow Ambulance - 2005 Ford E-350/AEV Traumahawk Yellow Ambulance is a private company based out of Louisville, KY. Yellow provides a majority of the ALS & BLS transports for Lafayette and Greenville Townships and much of Floyd County. |
