The City of New Albany is located along I-64 and the Ohio River just northwest of Louisville, Kentucky. First organized in 1818, NAFD became a full-time paid department in 1865. Now responding from 5 stations, NAFD provides Fire, Rescue and ALS protection to 15 square miles and 37,600 residents within the city limits.

NAFD
Founded in 1813, The City of New Albany's original flag included a similar logo and lettering in the colors of green and gold. In the
1920's the FD was added and this this logo was painted on each of NAFD's apparatus. This classic logo was brought back in 2008
with the purchase of Quint 2 and will now be painted onto all apparatus. In addition, the department chose to updte the colors to
red, gold and silver to go along with current fire service colors.

Due to a memory card error, we regret that we lost many photos from our last trip to New Albany. However, we look
forward to a return trip and the addition of several new pictures of NAFD apparatus in 2009.
