Somerville
Volunteer Fire Department

The village of Somerville is located along IN-57 in southeastern Gibson County. Organized in 1964, this all-volunteer department includes 17 members who respond to 300 runs each year. SVFD provides Fire and Medical First-Responder protection to the 350 residents of Somerville and portions of Barton Township. To provide the greatest safety to their residents, Somerville VFD and nearby Buckskin VFD respond dual-response to all Fire, Rescue and Medical calls in both department's districts.
