Gas City Rescue Squad

The Town of Gas City is located southeast of Marion and west of I-69 in southeast Grant County. First organized in 1942, this all-volunteer department includes 26 members who respond from a single station. GCRS provides Extrication and ambulance assist reponse to Gas City and the Town of Jonesboro. Their reponse area covers from IN-37 to I-69 including 9 miles of the Interstate.

The Squads' first-due apparatus carries 2 sets of Hurst Extrication Tools.

R-2 carries a third set of Hurst tools as well as larger extrication tools and rams.

Grant County EMS provides EMS protection and transport service throughout a majority of the county. 1 ambulance is staffed
out of the county building in Gas City from 6am-3pm 7 days each week. Several other ambulances are staffed by individual
departments and responds from those stations.
