Carmel Fire Department is comprised of 151 Firefighters who respond from six stations. CFD is a paid, municipal department comprised of uniformed personnel, 9 of whom are administrative staff members. In addition, the department has 8 full-time and 2 part-time, civilian/ administrative staff members. Carmel Fire Department provides Fire, Technical Rescue, Hazmat and ALS protection to 51 square miles and an estimated City/Township population of more than 64,000
