Cicero Fire Department

Cicero is located 25 miles north of Indianapolis in northern Hamilton County.
The area is a mix of residential and rural and includes most of Morse Reservoir. Cicero is a combination paid/volunteer department that responds from a single station. CFD provides Fire, Rescue, and ALS protection to 4,800 residents and approximately 33 square miles.

Rescue 21 is first due to all accidents, extrications and Haz Mat situations. Rescue 21 includes a Cascade system for
replenishing SCBA tanks during structure fires and it's light tower provides additional scene lighting for night incidents.

Toyne was the unique choice for this department due to their ability to place a 1500 gallon fold-up dump tank compartment
on Engine 21's ladder arm to keep it out of way of their side compartments. Since CFD serves as their primary pumper and tanker, this apparatus and it's equipment needed to be more flexible when arriving on scene.

Engine 22 serves as the department's aerial unit, but also includes extrication, EMS and foam equipment.
If a taller ladder is required Noblesville Ladder 74 or 71 reponds via mutual aid agreements.

Engine 21 served as the department's first due pumper for 20 years. It was replaced by the new Toyne above in April 2006.

This truck served as Cicero first engine in 1952. The smooth lines of the unique apparatus flow from the cab,
through the pumps and all the way back to the hose beds. All of the equipment on this truck is original. A true classic!
