Lightning Strike: 11134 Midnight Pass - May 18, 2006

Busy Street
Thankfully, the combination of strong fire prevention education and a large amount of new construction results in few structure
fires in Fishers. However, each year thunderstorms create inclement weather and lots of lighting across Hamilton County. This
fire started with a lighting strike during a fast-moving storm on May 18, 2006. The storm moved through quickly leaving
sunny skies as the smoke still rose from the home. Numerous neighbors came out to see what all the commotion was about.

Engine 92 reach
Engine 92 arrived on scene as the first-due Ladder Company and setup it's Aerial and ground ladders to aid
with ventilation to the attic. 92's powerful stabilizers lifted the truck right off the pavement.

Engine 92 back
Firefighters swap air bottles on the lawn after their initial entry.

1 3/4" attack lines for the interior and exterior.

Engine 94 back
E-94 and the "Fightin' Fours of Midtown," were the only Engine Company required to provide water as the fire
was knocked down quickly and without significant extension to the rest of the home.
