Fire Department

Jackson Township is located 28 miles north of Indianapolis in northern Hamilton County. Their protection district is a mix of residential and rural areas including portions of Jackson Township and the Town of Arcadia. In 2002 the Arcadia Fire Department merged with Jackson Township FD. It is now a combination paid on-call/volunteer department that responds from a single station. JTFD provides Fire, Rescue, and BLS protection to approximately 3,000 residents and 15 square miles.
