Sheridan Fire Department

Sheridan is located in northwest Hamilton County. It is a combination department with 3 full time personnel on each
shift supplemented by volunteers. An additional Riverview Hospital Paramedic is also stationed there with a QRV.
While the town's population is only 2,500, Sheridan provides
Fire, Rescue and ALS protection to more than 95 square miles! Sheridan protects two townships: Adams Township. in Hamilton County and Marion Township in Boone County.

Sheridan Fire is extremely proud of their new engine delivered in December 2004.
It's unique gold and white claw-mark graphics are the first of it's kind on this new style "Predator" pumper.

and is the second-due engine to all fires.

Rescue 61 is first due to all accidents and extrication calls. It also carries scene lighting, a cascade
system for refilling tanks at fire scenes and various other equipment for limited tactical rescues.

Tanker 61 - serves as the frontline tanker for Sheridan.

Tanker 62 has a unique and custom design. While designated a second-due tanker, it also reponds to
field/grass fires. The entire top of the tank is covered in diamond plate. It serves as a platform for fighting field
fires with it's top-mounted 1 1/2in hose reel.
