Fire Department - Station 42

Sugar Creek is located in western Hancock County. Headquartered in the Town of New Palestine, this combination department includes 30 full-time members in a rapidly growing area just east of Indianapolis. Sugar Creek provides Fire, Rescue and ALS protection to more than 15,000 residents and 36 square miles from their two stations.

Sugar Creek Township Station 42 has taken over and expanded what was known years ago as the
Philadelphia Volunteer Fire Department. This 6 bay house is home to 5 frontline apparatus.

Squad 42 serves as the utility truck. It primarily pulls various trailers for their Bobcat, education and tactical rescue responses.

Ambulance 42 was the first of two new Ambulances purchased for this growing department.
