Washington
Township/ The Town of Avon is located just 5 miles west of Indianapolis in eastern Hendricks County along US-36. Established in 1964, AFR includes 60 full-time personnel who provide Fire, Rescue, Hazmat and ALS protection to nearly 12,000 residents. The department is governed, financed and run by Washington Township and not the town of Avon. | Station 2 - Ronald Reagan Parkway Station 2 was completed in 1998 on the east side of the town. It is currently home to Engine 142 and Ambulance 142. |
