Fire & Rescue - Station 143

The Town of Avon is located just 5 miles west of Indianapolis in eastern Hendricks County along US-36. Established in 1964, AFR includes 60 full-time personnel who provide Fire, Rescue, Hazmat and ALS protection to nearly 12,000 residents. The department is governed, financed and run by Washington Township and not the town of Avon. Washington Township has been a full-time department since 1989 and is one of three career departments in the county.

Station 143 - 525 East and 100 South - Prestwick
Located in the upscale residential areas of Prestwick, this station was completed in late 2005 and opened in the spring of 2006.
At that time, Engine Company 141 an Ambulance 141 were reassigned to this westside station

While numbered E-141, this rig is currently serves as the primary reserve pumper. It is sometimes kept at Station 143 and
sometimes kept behind Station 141.
