Rescue 131 was originally built in Tully, NY by Saulsbury in 2003, just prior to their purchase and subsequent move to E-One.
This apparatus entered service in April of 2004 as Squad 131. On October 16, 2006 the rig was struck by a car-hauling tractor-
trailer while responding to a report of an MVA w/ entrapment on I-74. All personnel were seated and belted at the time of the
accident and were not injured. All rope rescue equipment, a large amount of extrication equipment, and various other tools and
equipment had to be replaced due to the accident. The cab received minor damage while stainless steel body was a complete loss.
Minor frame work was needed in the rear of the apparatus as well. The rescue was delivered to E-One on December 28th, 2006
to be repaired/rebuilt. Rescue 131 returned to service in late March of 2008 as the first Brownsburg Fire Apparatus to feature a
new black-over-red paint design.
