Pittsboro Fire Department Pittsboro is located 25 miles west of Indianapolis in central Hendricks County. First established in 1951, PFD is now a combination department with 6 full-time personnel and 22 reserves that are paid-on-call. Operating out of one station, PFD provides Fire, Rescue and BLS protection to the Town of Pittsboro and Middle Township. This 33 square mile district is mostly rural with some large industry and a population of 7,000 residents. |
