Volunteer Fire Department
Mill Creek District 71
Amo, Coatesville & Stilesville are all separate entities
and in the mid-1990’s began responding together on runs to form
the Mill Creek Fire Districts. Originally organized in 1952, Stilesville includes 13 members who respond to 275 runs each year. District 71 is the southern-most station and provides Fire, Rescue and BLS protection to nearly 33 square miles including the Town of Stilesville and Franklin Township in southern Hendricks County.
Stilesville Fire Station
Completed in 2000, this firehouse is home to all 5 frontline apparatus.
Engine 71 - 1990 Grumman Panther/2006 McGinley - 1250gpm/500gal
This apparatus previously served nearby Indianapolis prior to undergoing a significant refurb in 2006.
Engine 72 – 1980 Ford C/E-One Pumper - 1000gpm/750gal This rig formerly served as Engine 41 in Wayne Township (Indianapolis).

Grass 71 – 1976 Dodge/Morrison - 150gpm/200gal
Department members built this brush truck from a DNR chassis in 1992.
Tanker 77 – 1993 International/2004 Local Built
- 4000gallons
This tanker was put together by members in 2004. Both the tank and chassis were generously donated to the department.
BLS Ambulance 71 - 1991 Ford E-350/Med-Tec
This apparatus previously served Fishers, IN as Ambulance 91 prior to it's arrival at Mill Creek.
