Straughn Fire-Rescue

The Town of Straughn is located 50 miles east of Indianapolis along US-36 in western Henry County. Organized in 1940, this all-volunteer department includes 10 members who respond to approximately 70 runs each year. SVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to the 20 square miles including the Town of Straughn and the southern half of Dudley Township. SVFD also has a dual-response arrangement with nearby New Lisbon.
