Reserve Engine 7 - 1980 Ford/Boyer - 1000gpm/750gal
Engine 7 was originally purchased by the Center Township board to offer fire protection in the township areas surrounding
Kokomo. Prior to 2006, in order to provide the quickest response, KFD manned this engine with the engine crew from
Station 1 as necessary. Depending on where the incident occurred, the closest KFD Engine was usually first in with this rig
responding second. However, the township has now contracted with the city to provide fire protection with whichever
apparatus is most appropriate. Engine 7 is now used as a reserve engine, as shown here subbing for Engine 4.
