Station 5 2009
Kokomo Fire Department Station 5 - Dixon Road
Built in 2008, this westside station is home to Engine 5 and a Reserve Engine. This firehouse was built by funding from
Walgreens who coveted their previous location on the corner of Dixon and Sycamore. As part of the purchase of the land,
this firehouse was built just west if their old location at no additional cost to tax payers.

Ambulance 6 - 2001 Ford E450/Ossage
Until 2009 Kokomo ran two BLS ambulances for incidents and transports within the City of Kokomo. ALS calls were always handled by Howard Regional Health EMS or St. Joseph Hospital EMS rigs that respond to specific districts from the city's two hospitals. With the downtown in the economy and inevitable budget cuts, these two rigs were taken out of service indefinitely.
