Huntington Fire Department

The City of Huntington is located 29 miles southwest of Fort Wayne along US-24 in central Huntington County.
Huntington's three full-time stations provide fire protection to 17,000+ residents.
Rescue response is provided by Huntington County Rescue, a division of the Sheriff's Department.

Engine 1 protects downtown Huntington from it's single-engine house located at City Hall on Cherry Street.

Engine 2 is the first due rig from Station 2, located at Condit and Market Streets. This rig was purchased by the
township for response to the more rural areas of the district that lack hydrants.

Engine 3 protects the south side of Huntington from Huntington's newest 3-bay station at Etna and Maple.

Ladder 4 currently serves as the department's only aerial device and responds from Station 3.
Ladder 4 will be replaced in late 2006 by a new 102' KME platform ladder
