Fire Department

Bargersville is located 15 miles south of Indianapolis in western Johnson County along IN-144. The department is a 40 member combination fire department. 7 career firefighters and 35 volunteer/paid stand-by firefighters protect a rapidly growing suburban/rural community of more than 17,000 resident over 64 square miles including portions of Union, Franklin and White River Townships. ALS transport is provided by Rural/Metro.

Station 1 serves as Department Headquarters and Emergency Dispatch. It is home to Engine, Ladder and Rescue 201.

Engine 202 is the first-due apparatus for all incidents from Station 2. While Rescue 201 handles most medical calls from Station 1,
Engine 202 will function more as a Rescue-Pumper unlike it's twin Engine 201.

Ladder 201 serves as the Bargersville aerial device and responds to all structure fires.

Rescue 201 is the busiest apparatus in the department. It is first due for all medical runs as well as accidents,
extrications and rescue calls. It is supplemented by Engine 202 for medical calls in the northern part of the district.
