Greenwood Fire Department Station 92

"Runnin' with the Big Dawgs"

The City of Greenwood is located 15 miles south of Indianapolis in northern Johnson County. Greenwood is a combination department consisting of thirty full-time employees and eighty paid on call standby volunteers. GFD provides Fire, Rescue and Hazmat protection to 25 square miles and approximately 47,500 residents.

The 92's is home to Engine 92, Light Wagon 92, Reserve Engine 95 and the department's older parade truck.

Rescue Engines 92 & 93 are equipped with extrication and basic rescue equipment.
Note the light tower on top of it's 5-man cab for night incidents.

Before the new Pierce Rescue Engines were purchased, Rescue 92 ran on all auto extrications and basic rescues with
Engines 92/93. In 2005 this rig was reassigned as a Tactical Support/Light Wagon.

LW-92's equipment includes an on-board cascade system, a light tower and various rehab supplies.
 
Engine 95 ds
Engine 95 - 1984 Pierce Arrow Pumper - 1250gpm/1000gal
E-95 serves as the department's reserve pumper. It resides at Station 92 when not in use.
