New Whiteland
Volunteer Fire Department

New Whiteland is located 20 miles due south of Indianapolis along US-31 in Johnson County. Established in 1953, this combination department includes 25 members who respond to a very small residential area and a short section of US-31 between Whiteland and Franklin.

Engine 12 is second-due for all fire and mutual aid calls at NWFD. It was replaced as the primary engine with the arrival of the Crimson above in March of 2008.

Rescue 11 carries EMS, extrication and various firefighting equipment. It is first due for medical calls and vehicle accidents.
