Station 52

Located 20 miles Southwest of Indianapolis in Greenwood, White River Township is a full-time department with more than 100 members. First started in 1953 as the Smith Valley VFD, it became the White River Township Fire Protection District in 1986. White River Township now protects more than 30,000 Johnson County
residents from it's 3 stations.

Equipped with a 2500 gallon portable tank, this apparatus helps protect the shrinking areas of the Township without hydrants.
After several years being stationed at 53's, this rig is shown idling on a cold January day at it's new home - Station 2.
