Fire and severe weather safety trailer
The safety trailer came about after several requests for
fire programs and no trailer to take. The county has a common trailer
which all 8 departments utilize and it is hard to get at times. The
department petitioned for a Fire Prevention grant and were lucky enough
to receive it. The trailer is the latest in Fire safety with doors
that get hot, smoke machines, and sound system. It also features hydraulics
to move it side to side and up and down to simulate a tornado. It
also has a video system with a live channel 8 severe weather broadcast
prior to the storm.
