Volunteer Fire Department

Oaktown is located 109 miles southwest of Indianapolis along US-41 in northern Knox County. Currently 20 volunteer members of OVBTFD provide Fire and Rescue protection to approximately 700 residents in the Town of Oaktown and surrounding Busseron Township. EMS Service is provided locally by Knox County EMS.

Completed in 1995, this firehouse is located in downtown Oaktown. It is home to 3 apparatus.

This unique rig protected the Indianapolis Motor Speedway until 2002. It now responds to all medical and brush fires in Oaktown's response area.
